Refund Policy
Last updated: April 17, 2026
Quick version
1. Scope of This Policy
TL;DR
This Refund Policy explains how refunds work on your Accordio Legend subscription. It applies to Accordio, operated by Deduxer SRL ("we," "us," "our"), and forms part of our Terms of Service.
This policy covers your subscription to Accordio. It does not cover payments you collect from your own clients through Accordio using Stripe, which are handled directly between you and your client (see Sections 10 and 11).
2. Merchant of Record
TL;DR
Accordio uses Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle") as our Merchant of Record. This means:
- Paddle, not Accordio, is the seller of record for your subscription.
- Paddle processes your payment, issues your invoice, and collects applicable taxes.
- Paddle handles all refund requests for your Accordio subscription.
- Paddle’s own refund policy and terms also apply to your purchase.
- Your payment on your card statement will appear under Paddle.
You can review Paddle's refund terms at paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms.
3. Your 14-Day Free Trial
TL;DR
- Every new Accordio account starts with a 14-day free trial of Legend.
- During the trial you get full access to all Legend features, including AI credits, e-signatures, white-label, and integrations.
- You can cancel at any point during the trial. If you cancel before the trial ends, you are not charged.
- If you do not cancel, your card is charged by Paddle at the end of the trial at the plan rate you selected (monthly or annual).
- You can start and manage your trial, add a payment method, and cancel from Settings inside the app or from paddle.net.
We may change the length or terms of the free trial for future sign-ups. Any change will not affect trials already in progress.
4. EU & UK Cooling-Off Period
TL;DR
Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU (Consumer Rights Directive) and the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, consumers purchasing digital services at a distance have a 14-day right of withdrawal starting from the day the contract is concluded. No reason is required.
To exercise this right, submit a refund request to Paddle at paddle.net. Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
5. Statutory Rights in Other Jurisdictions
TL;DR
If you are a consumer located outside the EU or UK, you may still have mandatory withdrawal or cooling-off rights under your local law. These typically include:
- Turkey: 14 days from the date of purchase.
- Israel: 14 days from the date of purchase.
- Canada: 7 days from the date of purchase.
- South Korea: 7 days from the date of purchase.
- Brazil: 7 days from the date of purchase.
- China: 7 days from the date of purchase.
- Singapore: 5 days from the date of purchase.
To exercise any of these rights, submit a refund request to Paddle at paddle.net. Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any mandatory consumer rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
6. Cancelling Your Subscription
TL;DR
- You can cancel your Legend subscription at any time from Settings inside the app, or directly from paddle.net.
- Cancellation stops future billing. Your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period.
- Refund eligibility after cancellation is handled by Paddle in line with your statutory rights and Paddle’s refund terms.
- After your subscription ends, access to paid features is revoked. Your data is retained per our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
- You can resubscribe at any time.
If you need to close your account entirely rather than just cancel billing, see Section 18 of our Terms of Service.
7. Annual Subscriptions
TL;DR
- Annual Legend plans are billed upfront by Paddle for a 12-month period.
- You can cancel an annual plan at any time from Settings or paddle.net.
- Refund eligibility for annual subscriptions is handled by Paddle in line with your applicable statutory consumer rights and Paddle’s refund terms.
- When a cancellation does not qualify for a refund, your access to Legend continues until the end of the 12-month period you already paid for.
- Downgrading from annual to monthly takes effect at renewal.
8. AI Credits
TL;DR
- Your Legend subscription includes a monthly allowance of AI credits used for AI actions like chat, contract generation, invoice creation, and email drafting.
- Credits have no independent cash value and cannot be sold, transferred, or exchanged outside of Accordio.
- Unused credits may roll over within the limits described on the pricing page.
- If AI credits are consumed due to a technical error on our side, we will restore them at no cost on request.
- If your subscription is refunded by Paddle, any related credit allowance is adjusted accordingly.
9. Billing Errors & Service Issues
TL;DR
If you believe you were charged in error, see a duplicate charge, or feel the service did not work as expected, contact Paddle at paddle.net to request a refund. Paddle reviews these requests in line with their refund terms and your statutory rights.
For product issues that are not about a refund (bugs, outages, feature requests, account questions), email us at hi@accordio.ai. We aim to respond within 2 business days.
10. Stripe Fees (Your Client Payments)
TL;DR
This section does not concern your Accordio subscription. It covers payments you collect from your own clients through Accordio.
When your clients pay you through Accordio, Stripe charges a standard processing fee (typically 2.9% plus $0.30 per successful transaction, with varying rates for international or specific payment methods). Instant payout fees may also apply. These fees:
- Are charged by Stripe, not Accordio.
- Are non-refundable by us, because we do not receive them.
- When Stripe refunds a transaction, Stripe’s own fee rules determine whether the processing fee is returned.
Accordio itself does not charge a platform fee or commission on payments you collect from your own clients.
11. Refunds to Your Own Customers
TL;DR
Accordio is the platform you use to run your business, but we are not a party to the contracts or invoices between you and your clients. When your client asks for a refund:
- You are responsible for deciding whether to issue the refund based on your own agreement with the client.
- Refunds on invoices and escrow payments are processed through Stripe from your connected Stripe account.
- You can initiate refunds from your Stripe dashboard or by asking Accordio to process one on your behalf.
- Once you issue a refund, the original amount returns to your client. Stripe processing fees follow Stripe’s own refund rules.
For escrow payments, funds can only be refunded while they are held in escrow. Once released to your Stripe account, normal refund rules apply.
12. How to Request a Refund
TL;DR
All refund requests for your Accordio subscription are handled by Paddle.
- Visit paddle.net and enter the email address you used at checkout.
- Paddle will send you a secure link to access your purchase and submit a refund request.
- Provide a short description of your request. Paddle reviews it in line with their refund terms and your statutory rights.
- Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method, typically within 5 to 10 business days depending on your bank or card issuer.
13. Changes to This Policy
TL;DR
We may update this Refund Policy to reflect changes to our service, pricing, or legal requirements. For significant changes, we will notify you by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of Accordio after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy. The version in effect at the time of your purchase is the one that applies to that purchase.
